My school morning routine

Hiya! Wowzars, its September! I feel as if the summer holidays have escaped me, and that its scary to think I go back to school tomorrow! Since I am going back to school, I thought it would be nice to share my morning routine with you. I always read these types of posts and think of new time saving ideas, so I hope you find this useful!

The first thing I do in the morning is wash my face, and complete my morning skincare routine. I really like the garnier gel face wash, as its refreshing, and makes me feel nice and awake. Then I apply my toner. I like the boots own brand, fragrance free toner, its great for clearing up any excess oil on my face, and its only £1.50! Once I've applied my toner, i use a oil free moisturizer. At the moment I'm using the botanics shine away day cream. Its great as its oil free and has an SPF. I always find it hard to find a oil free moisturizer with SPF on the high street, and this ones amazing!

After I've washed my face, I go an eat some breakfast, I usually have different things each day, but this Dorset cereals muesli is yummy and filling! I always eat before I go to school, even if I over sleep, ill grab a banana or some toast!

After I have eaten my breakfast, ill go and start my makeup. On a regular school day, i'll wear concealer and powder, but sometimes, if i feel like I need more coverage, I will wear a light foundation. I like the No 7 essentially natural foundation, as its light, yet covers blemishes and spots.

Sorry for this really grubby looking blush! I use it most days, and its been well used and loved, so it doesn't look its best! I will apply a small amount of blush on my cheekbones, but I don't bother with bronzer or highlighter if I am going to school. This blush from MUA is well pigmented, and a little goes a long way. Unfortunately it is a bit chalky, but for £1, I think its a steal!

Once I've done my concealing and powdering, I will fill in my brows. Having natural blonde hair, makes my eyebrows very fair and sparse. I lightly fill in any gaps and run a spooly brush through them. I like the MUA brow pencil in blonde, as it makes my brows look as natural as possible, and doesn't make them look 'drawn on!'

Next, ill do my eye makeup. I normally draw a thin line of eyeliner, and add mascara to my top lashes. I don't really like to have heavy eye makeup for school, so I don't really ever use eye shadow, or put mascara on my bottom lashes! The natural collection mascara in lash length, is really nice. It has a bristle brush, rather than a plastic wand, and doesn't clump my stumpy lashes together or smudge throughout the day!

Before applying lipstick, ill dab on some balm. I adore lip balm, and always carry some with me. This lip butter from the body shop is moisturizing and smells amazing!

My last makeup step is to apply some lipstick! I have a selection of lipsticks from MUA and natural collection, which I most frequently use. The one in the photo is shade 9, and is my newest addition! It smells great and is a your-lips-but-better shade! Once I've applied some lippy, ill put it in my school bag, so I can apply it throughout the day.

Once I've completed my makeup, I will do my hair, ill get dressed, spritz some perfume on, pack my bag, get my shoes on a go! I luckily live close to my school, so I don't have a long trek! I complete this whole routine within a hour. I get up at around 7.20am, and the bell goes at 8.20am, so its a bit of a rush, but i'm so used to it, I could complete it in my sleep!
