Rimmel stay matte powder : 5 minute review

Hiya! Sorry I've not posted in a while, i started back at school this week, and I'm not enjoying it at all, so I've not really been in the mood to post! Anyway, I really wanted to review this powder as its very hyped and I wanted to see if it lived up to its claims!

First up, the packaging is fairly basic, yet is sturdy and looks rather nice! You get a nice 14g of product which is a good amount, since the product is only £3.99! There are 6 different shades in the range, which would suit most skin tones. The smell of the powder is hardly noticeable, and not too talcy, like other face powders I've tried. Once on the face, it has no smell whatsoever!

It's a lovely product to apply! I use a real techniques blush brush, which I know is not the right brush, but I think it's great, as it's not too big and leaves me with a un-cakey finish! I use this powder as a setting powder for my foundation, and alone on my t-zone. I find it works fine both ways, and doesn't cake my foundation or makes my face look powdery.

I have normal to combination skin, with a oily t-zone, and if am at school, I find this powder lasts well up until lunch when it starts to wear off! However, I do my makeup at around 8am, and my face doesn't look shiny to about 1pm! So 6 hours is pretty good! Some days I'll take it to school with me, with a little powder puff and put a tiny bit on my nose and forehead in my lunch break, but other days I won't! It really depends on how hot it is, or if I've done PE! If I am not at school, I find this powder lasts about 8 hours as I'm not in a stuffy classroom!  Overall, this powder is great for the price, keeps my face oil-free for most of the day, and doesn't clog my pores! So, once I've used this up, I'll definitely be repurchasing!

Product : 5/5   Price : 5/5  Smell : 4/5
